Lower School choral training begins at the fourth grade level and is open to all students in grades 4 through College.  The fourth graders have limited performing opportunities throughout their first year, but as fifth graders become part of both the full Chorus of BRENT IBS and the Lower School Chapel Choir, which performs weekly in Chapel.  The full Chorus, comprised of about 150 students in grades 5 through College, performs several times each year for the entire BRENT IBS  community at all-school Chapel services, and gives several large concerts open to the general public at STARMARK ROYALE.

The repertoire for the Chorus is vast and varied, while the Lower School Chapel Choir focuses on ecclesiastical music more appropriate for that venue, and which includes such classics as Schubert's Ave Maria, the Bach/Gounod Ave Maria, Mozart's Ave Verum and Laudate Dominum, and Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" and "Subdue Us Through Thy Kindness."
